Services In Resource And Environmental Management
CATO BOLAM has a number of specialised resource management staff who are able to offer advice and reporting on a range of resource management concerns.
Environmental Assessments
CATO BOLAM has specialist staff qualified in environmental science and ecology who are able to carry out ecological surveys, environmental impact assessments, mitigation and rehabilitation strategies and environmental monitoring. These services may assist in application assessments, policy generation or state of the environment reporting.
Resource Management Projects
CATO BOLAM has expertise in the forming of and leadership of multi- disciplinary teams identifying resource management issues, and formulating strategies to resolve those issues. Such projects may lie in the regulatory or non-regulatory areas. CATO BOLAM staff are highly skilled in bringing together the various elements of a resource management issue, consulting widely on that issue, and preparing professional reports. Our aim with such projects is to provide practical, timely and cost-effective solutions.
Hearings Commissioner and Disputes Resolution
Many resource management issues involve different parties having different views. Often, these grievances are best resolved through mediation and facilitation. CATO BOLAM has much experience in facilitating resolutions. Where statutory hearings are required, one of the CATO BOLAM Directors, Peter Reaburn, is a Commissioner in a range of resource consent, designation and plan change hearings. |
